This center is located in beautiful Spring Hill, Tennessee and maintains a diversity of resources and opportunities for UTIA researchers and educators ranging from: a 150 head commercial cow/calf operation with focus in reproduction, nutrition, health, as well as, growth and development. a 140 head production dairy with both Holstein and Jersey with focus on reproduction and milk quality. a crop based small plots program emphasizing cropping systems, cover crops, fertilization requirements, corn silage, corn for grain and soybean production. our State’s Bull Test/Genetic evaluation center actively improving the quality and economic efficiency of our State’s purebred and commercial beef cattle industry. the Equine Extension/Teaching facility. the Reproductive Management and Training School, 5 schools held each year. an Ultrasound and Reproductive Technologies training course.
